Braised Chicken with Tarragon, from The New American Herbal

I'm almost embarrassed to admit it, given how many magazines these days are featuring tarragon...I've never tasted it!  When did Tarragon become the little black dress of the culinary world and how did I miss it?

Rosemary Wheat Flatbread

Rosemary Wheat Flatbread | Lavende & Lemonade

This is one of my favorite recipes of all time.  It takes just minutes to put together, and just requires a little stirring - no kneading, and none of the floury mess on the countertop that traditional breads have.  Just delicious, simple bread.

And this bread is very fast to make, for homemade bread that is.  Start to finish, including rising time, can be as little as about an hour!

Grow fresh green onions in the kitchen

Grow fresh green onions in the kitchen

The beauty of green onions is that they grow extremely easily.  And they grow directly from the grocery store's stems!

How to Grow Basil from Cuttings

Fresh basil growing in the kitchen is such a simple luxury!  I love grabbing a handful to add a pop of flavor to whatever is on the stove.

After a season of giving its flavorful leaves for bruschetta and sauces, a basil plant thins out and prepares itself to make seeds.  This would normally signal the end of the basil's viability - and the perfect time to take cuttings.
