Rooted in Design - Decorating with Plants

With the excitement around my Vertically Gardened board on Pinterest, the cover of Rooted in Design had me intrigued.  What a gorgeous vertical garden installed over a rustic brick wall!

Rooted in Design by Tara Heibel & Tassy de Give is filled with inspirational photos of decorating with plants... "Surrounding ourselves with [living greenery] connects the city dweller to the natural world and reminds us that we have a symbiotic relationship."

I love how creative they get with everyday objects.  What a fun idea for upcycling an old cracking globe!

As an indoor plant addict, I found some ideas for freshening up my indoor garden aesthetics by rearranging them for more size contrast.

Overall, the book is like a sampler platter...just enough to give you a taste of a variety of decorating ideas with plants.  But still leaving you hungry for more detailed instructionals and recommendations.  A great read for aspiring interior designers who like a touch of nature.
