Its A Good Food Day!

Its always a great day for good food, and that is exactly the concept behind Marco Canora's A Good Food Day!

Its A Good Food Day!
A Good Food Day is a laid-back approach for healthy eating and living, with gourmet flavors.  With recipes like Chickpea and White Anchovy Salad, Caramelized Cauliflower and Apple Soup, and Herb-Roasted Spatchcock Chicken, it feels like a step into a hipster bistro in New York City.  Which makes sense, since that is exactly the background of Marco Canora.

Marco has a practical approach to healthy eating, with tips like:
  • Eating must be enjoyable
  • Cooking empowers you to eat better
  • Make indulgences a guilt-free part of the program
  • Eat real food
Throughout A Good Food Day, Marco gives helpful tips for eating well around the year following the seasons and what is available fresh at the markets.  The recipes are simple, easy to follow, and tasty.  I've made and shared my thoughts about the Dark Berry Shake recipe on page 27.

Its not my favorite of the cookbooks I've been checking out lately in terms of look and feel, but the recipes are well done and definitely make my tummy rumble.  Final Verdict: The book more visually awkward than the gorgeous cover leads you to believe, and in the end, because of the layout choices the book feels a little soulless despite the great content.  Not my favorite so far...

I received this book for free from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest opinions.
